Skills:
* Proficient in the baseband algorithm development for wireless
communications: Timing synchronization, frequency offset estimation and
compensation, channel estimation and equalization.
* Proficient in a lot of detection algorithms: Rake for WCDMA, Joint
detection for TD-SCDMA, Viterbi equalization for GSM and RSSE for EDGE.
Proficient in the timing and frequency synchronization, channel estimation
and equalization for OFDM/OFDMA. Be familiar with smart antenna algorithms.
* Proficient in computational mathematics, especially in matrices
computations, optimization theory, etc. with the capability to flexibly
apply these algorithms to the areas of wireless communications, e.g.
adaptive filter, MIMO detection techniques.
* Familiar with the following specifications: WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, 802.11a/b,
WiMAX, etc.
* Proficient in the front end design of digital VLSI, experiences in a lot
of EDA tools: Verilog-XL, Active-HDL, VCS, DC, PC, etc.

Experiences:
* 2002.2-2002.6: designed a viterbi and Turbo decoder for WCDMA.
* 2003.8 – 2004.5 : Cooperated with the Tsckuba university of Japan,
research on the ZCZ-CDMA systems. Implemented with FPGA and gave a report in
Japan.
* 2004.9 – 2005.6 : As one of the main designers, complemented the baseband
receiver design for GPS. Including the algorithm design, architecture
definition, software/hardware partitioning and RTL + assembly realization.
Now the chip been taped out successfully and passed the test. In this
project, I was responsible for the whole system algorithm and architecture
definition.
* 2004. 6– 2005.8, 2005.7-present:Research on the baseband algorithms for
TD-SCDMA. Now the algorithms have been completed, architecture definition
and RTL coding have been finished, vast verification is still ongoing. Up to
now, this project is all done by myself.
* 2006.11-now, beginning studying on the MAC of WiMax. Is trying to
implement the MAC protocol in NS2, including scheduling algorithms,
classifiers and ARQ etc.

Fig.1,The ZCZ-CDMA receiver. This is a small experimental project.

Fig.2,The GPS receiver. The CoStar II DSP is a low power DSP designed by
The SoC lab. For multimedia and wireless communications, which is the lab. I
am with now.

Fig.3, The TD-SCDMA receiver. This is my doctorate research project. The
whole system is all done by myself from algorithms to RTL implementation
except the DSP core.
